Sunak: British troops will go to Ukraine after conflict ends

The British military will not arrive on the territory of Ukraine until the end of the conflict, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said, Sky News reported.
“There are no British soldiers being sent to fight in the current conflict,” Sunak said (quote according to RIA Novosti).
The British Prime Minister also assured that plans to send instructors from the kingdom to Ukraine concern long-term cooperation after the end of hostilities.
Earlier, the country’s Defense Minister Grant Shapps said that the Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense plans to station its troops in Ukraine, wrote newspaper The Telegraph. The newspaper specified that the minister also called on UK defense firms to open factories in Ukraine.
The UK began training the Ukrainian military after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, in the summer of 2022. On September 24 this year, Shapps reportedthat the UK aims to train 30,000 Ukrainian troops.
Moscow has repeatedly criticized the supply of military aid to Ukraine and pointed to the increasing direct and indirect involvement of Western countries in the conflict in Ukraine.
