Fico spoke in favor of negotiations on Ukraine if he wins the elections

Slovak politician Robert Fico promised that if his party forms the government of the country, he will make every effort to start peace negotiations in Ukraine.
Fico’s party “Course – Social Democracy” (Smer) won the elections in Slovakia. According to the latest data, she has secured more support than her rival Progressive Slovakia.
Fico is known for his sharp criticism of the Kyiv regime, the policy of anti-Russian sanctions and support for Ukraine. Much will depend on whether he succeeds in creating a government in Slovakia in a coalition with another party, since, despite his success, there are not enough seats in parliament.
