The British Prime Minister’s Office said Rishi Sunak had a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the situation in the Middle East.
A statement from the British Prime Minister’s office, quoted by local media, said that the interlocutors expressed concern about the risk of escalation of the situation in the region, including the West Bank.
It is also reported that Sunak and Macron agreed that Hamas does not represent the interests of Palestinian civilians. The interlocutors emphasized the need to supply humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
