Sullivan: US sees no change in Russian nuclear readiness

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told CNN that at the moment the United States is not seeing any changes in the readiness of Russia’s nuclear forces.
Answering a question about whether the White House admits that the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict may prompt the Russian Federation to use weapons of a different level, he clarified that America maintains regular direct contacts with the Russian Federation on this topic.
According to him, now US officials do not see the need to make any changes in the readiness of their own forces.
“To date, we do not observe any changes in the readiness of the nuclear forces of the Russian Federation,” Sullivan said.
