Sullivan told what diplomatic costs await Moscow in case of refusal from the grain deal

US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Russia could face “enormous diplomatic consequences” if the July 17 “grain agreement” is not extended.
In an interview with CBS News, he noted that if Russia refuses to participate in this initiative, the rest of the world will see this as a refusal by the Russian authorities to provide the countries of the global South, Africa, Latin America and Asia with food at affordable prices. Such a move could attract backlash and criticism from many countries, Sullivan explained.
The adviser specified that Russian President Vladimir Putin would have to make a choice. “And I think that in the future it will cost Russia huge diplomatic costs. So Putin will have to make a choice. Washington is ready for any scenario,” he said.
