The White House called the Russian Investigative Committee’s case on US terrorism financing nonsense

The criminal investigation into the financing of terrorism by US and NATO officials, brought by Russia’s Investigative Committee, was called “nonsense” by US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan during a briefing.

Sullivan also said that responsibility for the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in the Moscow region lies with the Islamic State organization, which is banned in Russia.

He added: “We warned Russia about the upcoming terrorist attack in Moscow, everything else is just noise.”

After the terrorist attack in Crocus, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, at the request of deputies, began an investigation into the financing of terrorism by US officials and NATO countries.

According to the department, money transferred through the Burisma Holdings company in Ukraine was used to commit terrorist attacks in Russia.

Previous reports of warnings from the United States to Russia about an upcoming terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall were refuted by a RIA Novosti source.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova analyzed the US version of ISIS involvement in the Crocus terrorist attack.
