The Russian telecom operators Beeline, Megafon and Tele2 in November agreed to launch national roaming in the territory of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, a source in one of the Big Four Russian operators told Vedomosti and confirmed a source in one of the telecom operators operating in the new regions. According to the interlocutor, close to the federal operator, by the end of the year roaming in the territory of all new subjects of the Russian Federation will also start working at MTS.
National roaming is the ability to use the network of another mobile operator within the same country. For all regions, except for Crimea and Sevastopol, national roaming was canceled by a government decree in May 2019. This means that for subscribers in their home region and when traveling around the country, the conditions for receiving communication services should be the same.
