Study: Russians consider themselves old at an average age of 70.7 years

Researchers from the Federal Research Sociological Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov conducted a study and found out the age of old age among Russians.
It is clarified that during the study “Threshold of old age: objective signs and subjective perception,” scientists conducted a survey among Russian residents. RBC reports this.
It turned out that Russians, according to average data, consider themselves old at 70.7 years. At the same time, for women this period begins at 68 years, and for the opposite sex – at 69.4 years.
The researchers noted in their publication that the subjective perception of one’s own age quite often begins to coincide with the age limits of old age only after the age of 70.
