Students of medical classes will go on excursions to city clinics

How are hospitals organized? On what principles does the system of interaction between a medical institution and a patient work? What are the standards of medical care? How should hospitals be equipped? The answers to these and other questions will be available to the capital’s schoolchildren, who will go on excursions to adult and children’s clinics, at ambulance stations, as well as in multidisciplinary hospitals. An extensive program of such excursions was prepared for the children by two metropolitan departments – Department of Education and Science and Department of Health.

According to the Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Science of Moscow Natalia Kiselevathe guys will be able to get acquainted with the work of doctors of all specialties, modern equipment, digital technologies in healthcare, the features of different types of medical care.

— We are constantly improving pre-professional education projects. Thus, schoolchildren who plan to become doctors will visit various institutions of the Moscow healthcare system with study tours. This is a new format for getting to know the industry, in which many students plan to work in the future,” said Natalia Kiseleva.

Pre-professional classes are open in almost 400 schools in the capital. More than 6.5 thousand schoolchildren study in medical classes. The children study in depth biology, chemistry, the basics of first aid, practice on interactive simulators, work with measuring instruments and first aid kits. Additionally, they can master the principles of microbiology, genetics, ecology and other specialized disciplines.
