Sergey Gop, a student of Tomsk Polytechnic University, plans to set a national record for knowing the number π. To do this, a young man needs to memorize more than 13 thousand decimal places. About it writes “Russian newspaper”.
Sergei Gop has been practicing memory techniques, also known as mnemonics, for four years now. According to the student, in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of mnemonics, he memorized the first thousand digits of the number π.
Soon after, the Tomsk Polytechnic student wondered how many more numbers he could remember. Thus, now Hop knows more than eight and a half thousand digits of the number π. To set a new Russian record, you need to memorize more than 13,202 digits – the young man plans to do this in early February.
Now Sergey Gop is preparing to set a record: he prepares the necessary documents and is looking for investors.
