The list of drugs will be expanded from 23 to 31
The Ministry of Health intends to facilitate access to subsidized medicines for heart patients. Officials plan to expand the range of medicines for people with heart failure or stroke.
The document was developed in order to ensure the availability of drug therapy for patients with acute cardiovascular diseases and chronic heart failure with low left ventricular ejection fraction. The Ministry of Health explained why it decided to take care of this particular group of patients separately: people with this form of heart disease are shown special therapy that increases survival.
The developers of the updated list of drugs note that the availability of optimal drug therapy for this group of patients will help reduce mortality from diseases of the circulatory system and increase overall life expectancy. New positions will be added to the draft list of drugs that are prescribed to core patients within two years from the date of diagnosis. Instead of 23, there will be 31 drugs on the list. Among them are diuretics – drugs for edema, an effective combination of drugs to prevent heart failure, and drugs that reduce heart rate.
