A storm warning was announced in Kalmykia due to heavy rain and strong winds. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic.
According to the Kalmyk Central Geological Survey, weather conditions are expected to worsen in the region from October 7 to October 11. Showers and wind gusts of up to 28 m/s are expected in some areas. The air temperature on October 10 and 11 will drop to 0-5 degrees.
Local residents were warned about the occurrence of incidents associated with breaks in communication and power lines, falling trees, collapse of structures, damage to the roofs of buildings and disruption of life support systems for the population.
