The West should not allow Russia to win in the special operation in Ukraine, because “it will not only be a tragedy for Ukrainians, but will also make the world more dangerous.” This statement was made on Tuesday, June 13, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg.
According to the politician, the “brutal invasion of Russia” was an “attack” not only on this country, “but also on our basic values, and on free people everywhere.”
Stoltenberg urged to prevent the victory of Russia in the conflict in Ukraine. For this reason, assistance from Kyiv’s western allies is critical, and NATO plans to step up support for the Ukrainian authorities.
The NATO Secretary General also positively assessed the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, saying that “Ukrainians are making progress.”
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously warned that in the context of the all-out hybrid war unleashed by the West against Russia and the intention declared by the United States and NATO inflict a strategic defeat on the Russian Federation Moscow reserves the right to take additional steps to ensure the security of both its own and its allies.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the goals of the special military operation are changing in accordance with the current situation, although in general they are of a fundamental nature. He also addressed the West, emphasizing that he will never achieve its geopolitical goals in relation to Russia.
