On the evening of June 13, Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebbun arrived in Russia. About it informs TASS.
According to the agency, the plane with the Algerian leader arrived at Vnukovo-2 airport at 20:45 Moscow time. The Russian delegation that met the President was headed by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev. While Tebbun walked to the special terminal, a military band played the anthems of Russia and Algeria.
Tebbun’s visit to Russia will be the first high-level visit in Russian-Algerian relations in 13 years. Previously reportedthat the President of Algeria will stay in Russia from 14 to 16 June. He is also scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where the leaders will discuss relations between the two countries “before signing a document on in-depth strategic partnership,” Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper writes.
At the end of May, following a meeting between Russian presidential adviser Anton Kobyakov and Algerian Ambassador Smail Benamar, a statement was made that the Algerian delegation would take part in the forum. “I am sure that the upcoming participation of the Algerian delegation in the SPIEF will further strengthen Russian-Algerian cooperation in all sectors,” Kobyakov said at the time.
