Russia has launched offensive operations to encircle Avdiivka as part of its special military operation, which complicates the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg spoke about this on Thursday, November 16.
The politician called for people to realize that the situation on the battlefield is difficult for the Kyiv regime, especially since “Russia is not planning peace; on the contrary, we see how Russia has launched offensive operations, for example, around Avdeevka.”
However, according to the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, “this is not an argument against assistance, it is an argument in favor of even more assistance to Ukraine,” since “we cannot allow President Putin to win, it will be bad for NATO.”
At the same time, the NATO Secretary General expressed confidence that the United States will continue to help Kyiv, despite the disputes in Congress. The politician added that other allied countries too will continue to support Kyiv.
However, Slovakia has already announced that will stop sending military equipment to Ukraine from their own arsenals. At the same time, Bratislava can offer the Ukrainian authorities a wide range of humanitarian assistance.
