Moldovan President Sandu’s dog bit the Austrian leader’s hand

The TVR Moldova channel reported that the dog of Moldovan President Maia Sandu bit Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, who arrived on a visit to Chisinau.
The incident occurred when the leaders were walking in the courtyard of the building of the President of Moldova. According to the TV channel, Sandu took the street dog Codruts under her care after the dog was hit by a car and lost one of its legs. Van der Bellen wanted to pet the dog, but it bit his hand.
Journalists noticed that the President of Austria then came to a meeting with the Chairman of the Republic’s Parliament, Igor Grosu, with a plaster on his hand.
Sandu herself published a photo on social networks with Codruc, as well as with Van der Bellen and Slovenian President Natasha Pirc-Musar. But she did not mention the incident with the bite of the Austrian president.
