Stavropol resident won two “silver” medals at the Russian Cup in sports radio direction finding

Oleg Zhirov, a representative of Stavropol sports school No. 5, won two silver medals in Ryazan at the Russian Cup in sports radio direction finding, also known as “fox hunting,” the press service of the city hall reports.
Representatives from 16 regions of the country took part in the competition. In difficult weather conditions, when the 37-degree heat gave way to rain, more than 250 “hunters” went to the start. The terrain with the tracks changed to almost impassable.
Oleg Zhirov took the first silver medal in orienteering, and received the second medal in the classical discipline of 3.5 MHz.
Previously it was reported that 12 young Stavropol athletes competed in the All-Russian triathlon league for the first time.
