Stavropol resident became first in table tennis at the sports festival for the disabled

A student of the Stavropol Organization of Disabled People became the winner in table tennis at a sports festival that took place in Sochi. This was reported by the press service of the Stavropol administration.
The day before, the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Festival for people with disabilities with musculoskeletal disorders was organized on the Sirius federal territory in Sochi. Athletes from 53 regions of Russia attended it.
Svetlana Litvinova took part from the Stavropol region. The girl competed in two events at once. As a result, the Stavropol resident won 1st place in table tennis, and rose to the third step of the podium in darts.
“We are sincerely pleased with such successes of our citizens,” said the head of Stavropol, Ivan Ulyanchenko. “I congratulate Svetlana on her well-deserved awards and wish her not to stop there.”
The mayor also noted that about 32 thousand people with disabilities live in Stavropol, and the administration is fully involved in social support and creating comfortable infrastructure and an accessible urban environment for them.
