Stavropol region is preparing for a sports marathon through the sights of the region

The Ministry of Tourism of the Stavropol Territory and the running movement KAVKAZ.RUN are launching a joint project “Running in Stavropol” in March 2024. Every resident or guest of the Stavropol Territory will be able to take part in it.
The sports season will last until October. During this time, the organizers will hold ten events for lovers of an active lifestyle from different parts of the country. The routes will run through the tourist areas of Stavropol, thanks to which residents and guests of the region will become more familiar with its unique nature, architecture and industrial facilities.
Thus, within the framework of the “Running in Stavropol” project, the traditional KAVKAZ.RUN races will take place. The current season will open with the Charity Run of Wish Fulfillment. It will take place in March in Pyatigorsk. Then the already well-known and popular Pyatigorsk and Stavropol Half Marathons, the Pyatigorsk Ring and the Kislovodsk International Marathon will take place.
As noted, the 2024 running series will cover new locations. One of the unique events will be the Nevinnomyssk ultramarathon. Its route will pass through the territory of the largest wind power plant in Russia, Kochubeevskaya.
Two new events will take place in Zheleznovodsk. These are the women’s fun race BeautyRun and the festival of cyclic sports SwimRun, where participants, in addition to the running stage, will have to overcome the water stage on Lake Thirty.
The “Five Peaks” mountain trail will take place in Lermontov. At the top of Mount Beshtau, lovers of an active lifestyle will meet the most beautiful sunrise on the CMS.
Georgievsk will host its first official race. Its feature will be a beautiful route with minimal elevation gain through the historical center of the city.
