In Yakutia and the Khabarovsk Territory, the state of emergency in federal forests, which has been in effect since July 19, has been lifted. He announced this in his Telegram channel Head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev.
The decision was made “in connection with the stabilization of the fire situation” at a meeting of the government commission for the prevention and elimination of emergencies and ensuring fire safety, chaired by the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Kurenkov.
“For the first time this year, he (state of emergency.— “b”) was introduced in a simplified manner. As a result, a set of measures taken, including an increase in funding for forest protection, made it possible to reduce the area of forest fires by 13 times and achieve the best results since 2017,” said Mr. Nikolaev.
To date, there are 5 forest fires on the territory of two districts in the republic on a total area of 79,937 hectares. Last year, on this date, there were 46 forest fires on a total area of 451,494 hectares.
In the Khabarovsk Territory, according to the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, all outbreaks were eliminated by August 16.
