State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin to visit Iran on January 23

On January 23, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin is expected to visit Tehran, reported RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the public relations department of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Sadekiyan.
According to Sadekiyan, Volodin will arrive in Iran at the head of a delegation from the lower house of the Russian parliament. The speaker of the State Duma will meet with his Iranian counterpart Muhammad Baqer Ghalibaf and other officials of the country. The head of the public relations department of the Iranian parliament said that the focus would be on accelerating the implementation of the agreements concluded between the countries in the areas of transit, investment, energy, and business.
A meeting of the highest commission on parliamentary cooperation between Iran and Russia will also be held.
