State Duma Deputy: The West will try to stop the North American War with the help of COVID

Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Amir Khamitov said that Western countries may try to use the coronavirus pandemic as a pretext to stop the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine, since this conflict greatly affects their reputation. His words lead URA.RU.

As Khamitov noted, panic is really emerging in the West, because by supporting the criminal Kiev regime, Western politicians have driven themselves into a dead end, from which it is impossible to get out without catastrophic reputational losses. That is why, according to the parliamentarian, attempts to use any far-fetched pretext are quite understandable, even if the reason does not relate to the Ukrainian conflict at all.

The deputy indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic cannot become a reason to terminate the SVO. He emphasized that there are no international norms regulating such actions, and Russia will not participate in this, even if the corresponding norms appear. Khamitov clarified that there is no panic in the Russian Federation and there cannot be. According to the deputy, all preventive measures to prevent the development of the pandemic have been taken and the situation is completely under control.

The parliamentarian added that the inevitability of Russia’s victory in the Ukrainian conflict is already obvious to everyone, and the Russian side does not intend to indulge unfriendly countries that are trying to hide their shame behind another “pseudo-concern.”
