State Duma deputy Solovyov proposed to mark or cut out episodes of films with the participation of actors-foreign agents

Sergei Solovyov, a member of the State Duma Committee on Culture, suggested discussing the possible labeling or removal of film episodes starring actors recognized as foreign agents or criticizing Russia. He suggested holding a public poll for such a measure.
“My opinion is that it is necessary to carry out such work in order to cross out all the creative results of their activities in the country. In what specific format this should be done, film professionals and citizens of the country should decide. This, of course, will be state control, one might say tougher – public censorship, but in the interests of society and the state, ”said TASS Sergei Solovyov.
According to him, if the public supports this decision, it is necessary to take an appropriate legislative decision.
