State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Vladimir Blotsky decided to resign. This is stated in the draft resolution, published at the base of the lower house of parliament.

First deputy head of the Communist Party faction Nikolai Kolomeytsev told Interfax that this decision was “based on a statement by Blotsky himself.” First Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Yuri Afonin clarified that the decision was agreed upon with the central committee of the party, and the deputy “will continue to work with the party and faction.”

“After he leaves the State Duma, Vladimir Nikolaevich will focus on issues of agricultural development,” added Mr. Afonin. According to him, the second direction of Vladimir Blotsky’s work will be strengthening international and bilateral cooperation with China, as well as countries in Africa and Latin America.

46-year-old Vladimir Blotsky was elected to the State Duma as part of the federal list of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. He holds the post of deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues. In 2021 there was the richest MPdeclaring an income of 3.5 billion rubles.
