State Duma deputy from Crimea Chernyak resigned ahead of schedule

State Duma deputy Aleksey Chernyak, elected from the Simferopol single-mandate constituency No. 19 (“United Russia”), announced that he had resigned his powers, since, according to his own conviction, he should now be in Crimea.

“I am resigning as a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. In this difficult time, I must be in the Crimea – in the same ranks with the Crimeans, my colleagues and like-minded people, where my relatives and friends live, where most of my life has passed, ”- wrote he is in his Telegram channel.

Chernyak also thanked his voters and fellow party members for their trust, and fellow deputies for productive cooperation.

The State Duma terminated Chernyak’s powers from September 3, the corresponding decree signed by the head of the Duma commission on control over the reliability of information on income and property submitted by the deputies of the State Duma, Otari Arshba.

In the State Duma, Chernyak was a member of the Committee on Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure Development. Prior to that, he was a member of the Crimean Parliament.
