The Committee on Information Policy recommended the adoption of a bill to ban LGBT propaganda with additional amendments: a ban is introduced on the promotion of not only non-traditional sexual relations and pedophilia, but also gender reassignment. In total, the committee received 32 amendments, 12 of them were recommended for adoption.
The approved amendments provide for the inclusion of sites with LGBT propaganda in the register of prohibited ones with their subsequent blocking, said Alexander Khinshtein, head of the committee. According to him, Roskomnadzor will monitor in search of such information. Also, the bill will ban the sale of goods containing prohibited information. “Already this week, the State Duma will be able to consider a package of laws in the second and final third readings,” Khinshtein said.
