State Duma deputies from United Russia Sokol and Kastyukevich submitted resignation letters

Deputies of the State Duma (State Duma) from United Russia (UR) Sergei Sokol and Igor Kastyukevich submitted applications to resign from their parliamentary powers. The statements were approved by the State Duma commission on issues of monitoring the reliability of information on income, property and property-related obligations, it follows from the draft resolutions on website lower house of parliament. The State Duma will consider the issue of removing powers on September 19.
Sergei Sokol was registered as a candidate for governor of the Republic of Khakassia in the last elections. He was forced to take off from them due to health problems. Mr. Sokol said the problems arose due to complications from a July operation he underwent for peritonitis.
Igor Kastyukevich, secretary of the United Russia branch in the Kherson region, has not previously announced his desire to surrender his deputy mandate.
