The Prosecutor General’s Office reported receiving an appeal from State Duma deputies and public figures with a request to check the organization and financing of terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation and the undermining of Nord Streams. The agency promised to study the materials, after which “the issue of using mechanisms of international legal cooperation will be considered.”

Information appeared in Telegram channel Prosecutor General’s Office. The department does not specify which State Duma deputies and public figures submitted a statement. As stated, they are asking to investigate “the facts of organizing and financing a number of terrorist acts on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as an act of international terrorism – the undermining of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.” The authors of the statement believe that traces of gas pipeline explosions “lead to persons and structures located in the USA, Germany, France and Cyprus.”

On March 22, in the Moscow region, there was a terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall before the start of a concert by the Picnic group. Armed people burst into the building, started shooting and set the site on fire. 140 people died, 360 were affected. USA conveyed Russia has “general information” about the preparation of terrorist attacks in crowded places. Western embassies urged their fellow citizens not to participate in mass events. President Vladimir Putin called the embassy statements “outright blackmail and an intention to intimidate and destabilize our society.” Russian authorities believe radical Islamists are behind the attack, and do not excludethat Washington, London or Kyiv were involved in the terrorist attack.
