Senators and deputies of the State Duma are not subject to mobilization, this was stated by a source in the apparatus of the Federation Council, referring to the law “On mobilization training and mobilization in the Russian Federation.”
“According to the law, deputies of the State Duma and senators have a deferment from military service for mobilization, among other categories,” the source said.
Recall that on September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in Russia. The corresponding decree has already been signed. As part of the partial mobilization, citizens will be called from the reserve. According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, 300,000 reservists will be drafted into the Russian Armed Forces.
