State Department: The US has reached the “bottom of the barrel” in its ability to finance Ukraine

State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters at a briefing that the United States is at rock bottom in terms of its ability to provide security assistance to Ukraine.
He predicted a “very difficult winter” for Ukraine and expressed hope that congressmen will join the White House in seeking to continue providing critical aid to Kyiv.
Earlier, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson sent a letter to the White House in which he linked support for the bill to help Kyiv with ensuring security on the southern border of the United States and the Administration’s answers to the question about the strategy for Ukraine.
