From January 1, amendments come into force that establish new duties for drivers, informed Andrey Sharkov, managing partner of SHAGI law firm, to Prime agency.

Not only will there be new duties, but the amount of existing ones will also increase, the expert added.

According to him, motorists will have to pay 1,000 rubles to get permission to change the design of a wheeled vehicle.

The admission of the car to the transportation of dangerous goods, according to the lawyer, will cost 1,500 rubles, and its extension – 1,000 rubles.

Sharkov added that the cost of the fee for issuing a safety certificate for a vehicle with a modified design will increase, it will cost 1,000 rubles instead of eight hundred.

The expert explained that a certificate is required if the machine was assembled independently or if changes were made to the factory design. This document will also be required if it is planned to import a foreign car from abroad.
