The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Sunday fired three times at the village of Gornal, Kursk region, there were no casualties, said the governor of the region, Roman Starovoit.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the border village of Gornal, Sudzhansky district, three times in the morning today. A total of 9 arrivals were recorded. The important thing is that no one was hurt.” wrote the head of the region in his Telegram channel.

As a result of the attack, three households were damaged: windows were broken, roofs and facades were cut, Starovoit specified. The authorities of the region promised to provide residents with all the necessary assistance.

A day earlier, two districts of the Kursk region also have undergone shelling from Ukraine, the arrivals disrupted the power supply and damaged the gas distribution station. As Starovoit reported, arrivals were recorded in the area of ​​the village of Gornal, the village of Elizavetovka and the village of Popovo-Lezhachi. Later, he wrote that the emergency teams had completed the work, the power supply to all settlements in the Glushkovsky district had been fully restored.

Since February 4, a “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat has been in effect in the region, which has been extended for an indefinite period. On January 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin lifted the time limit for introducing terrorist threat levels in the Russian Federation. Before the restriction was lifted, it could be set for a period of no more than 15 days, now the decision to introduce a threat level becomes indefinite and is valid until it is canceled.
