Staraya Russa will have its own ice arena

Andrey Nikitin, Governor of the Novgorod Region, announced the development of a project for an ice arena in Staraya Russa. The authorities plan to receive part of the construction costs through the region’s participation in federal programs of the Russian Ministry of Sports.
According to Nikitin, construction will take three to four years.
“This decision was made together with the President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretiak,”
– the governor shared in his telegram channel.
Recall that Tretiak visited Veliky Novgorod on the occasion of the opening of the international nominal tournament.
The Novgorod arena will host competitions between participants from Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
According to the governor, the development of the infrastructure of Veliky Novgorod allows holding events of this level.
Formerly “MK in Veliky Novgorod” informedthat a school in engineering sciences of the Union State will be opened in the NTS.
