“Star Wars over Sevastopol”: Kyiv in agony launched an unprecedented number of missiles

The confrontation between Russia and Ukraine during the New Year holidays moved to a new level – fierce battles on the ground turned into “star wars”. On the night of December 5, the enemy again tried to attack border cities and Crimea, sending an unprecedented number of drones and missiles to Sevastopol. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ plan, which was to defuse our air defense, did not work, and the actions of our army amazed even very experienced fighters.

Military expert, former intelligence officer and colonel with combat experience Anatoly Matviychuk, in a conversation with MK, said that, judging by the latest desperate attacks, the Kiev regime is in a state of agony.

On the night of January 5, the Ukrainian Armed Forces again tried to massively attack Belgorod, Novorossiysk, Sevastopol and Crimea. A total of 10 Vilkha MLRS missiles and 37 drones were fired.

Fragments of downed Olkha MLRS missiles fell in the courtyard of a residential building in one of the Belgorod microdistricts. More than 30 cars and about 130 window glass in the apartments of the houses were damaged. The blast wave overturned one car onto its roof. The Ukrainian shells of the Vilkha MLRS, which exploded in Belgorod, were filled with destructive elements.

In addition, our air defense system worked in Novorossiysk, Crimea and Sevastopol. Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was suspended for some time. Governor Razvozhaev called the attack on Sevastopol one of the most massive in recent times.

According to military expert Vladislav Shurygin, in recent months the same pattern of attacks on our territory has been observed.

First, the expert says, there is a thorough reconnaissance using American UAVs from the sea, as well as optical and radio reconnaissance satellites. Selecting multiple goals. Then several waves of blows follow.

“Moreover, the most massive ones often turn out to be distracting, those that should confuse our defense system, open it up and deplete ammunition. Often, such attacks are followed by an immediate change of weapons – UAVs are replaced by naval unmanned boats (BEC) or cruise missiles. Moreover, by this moment the enemy already has a good idea in which direction what forces are waiting for him and often hits completely different targets. This is exactly how the attacks on the Crimean Bridge were built, ending with the breakthrough of BECs to the bridge and the recent attack on Feodosia. The strike on Belgorod, during which the rockets burst through, was also a “second wave.”

The military expert notes that in this way the Ukrainian Armed Forces moved from conventional massive raids to combined operations of heterogeneous forces to hit targets deep in our territory.

At the same time, the military, who closely monitor cross-attacks, note that the Russian army is ready for such enemy operations:

“I’ve been in this topic for a long time, but this is the first time I’ve seen this. The work of air defense in conjunction with aviation and naval electronic warfare and electronic warfare is beyond praise. The carousel of UAVs and enemy missiles, which was supposed to defuse our air defense and allow us to break through to our targets, did not work out. It was a cunning plan. But not with us,” wrote one of the military-political Telegram channels.

After the attack on Sevastopol, retaliatory strikes followed from our side, namely, attacks were carried out on the airfield in Starokonstantinov. Powerful explosions were heard at the site of the Ukrainian missile carrier aircraft.

Military expert Anatoly Matviychuk is confident that the enemy’s strikes on the peninsula and border towns are a desperate attempt by our opponents to demonstrate capabilities that are no longer available:

– Kyiv has indeed accumulated a certain number of drones for massive attacks on our territory in order to “cover up” the defeats they suffered. But it is already obvious that the Kiev regime suffered an absolute defeat on earth, so Zelensky gave the command to show that supposedly Ukraine is forging a “win.” Zelensky said that in the spring he plans to launch a new counter-offensive and end the war in Crimea. But I believe that this is all pure propaganda chatter.

According to the expert, the situation in Kyiv is reminiscent of the last days of Nazi Germany:

– In Ukraine they are happy for any reason. In Moscow, a transformer turned off, so the Ukrainians took credit for this breakdown, although it was the natural wear and tear of an ordinary transformer. There was so much jubilation, as if a Ukrainian submarine had surfaced on Red Square. It is now very important for them to show that they are still supposedly fighting our army. In my opinion, this is pure agony – something similar happened in 1944-1945 when Hitler was sitting in a bunker, and his army tried to resist, but to no avail.
