The competition will consist of two rounds – written and oral. In the written round, students will complete tasks on vocabulary and grammar, as well as on the understanding of oral and written text. The oral round of the Olympiad is focused on testing how the guys can express their thoughts on various topics.

But the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in French has already ended. It was held on the basis of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. 216 schoolchildren of grades 9-11 from 66 regions of the country took part in it. According to the results of the competition, students from Moscow and St. Petersburg had the best results.

Also on March 23, the final stage of the All-Russian Chemistry Olympiad for schoolchildren ended. 298 children from 69 regions of the country took part in it. Ninth-graders at the final stage determined ten substances with the help of auxiliary reagents. Tenth-graders gave a definition of ascorbic acid and a description of the properties of this compound, and schoolchildren from the final eleventh grades made a complex-metric determination of two ions of copper and zinc in their joint presence in an aqueous solution. Schoolchildren from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Samara regions, Altai and Krasnodar territories, the republics of Bashkortostan, Mordovia and Tatarstan became the best.

Traditionally, victory or a prize at the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad gives eleventh-graders the opportunity to enter the leading universities of the country without entrance examinations, provided that they enter the profile of the Olympiad.
