St. Petersburg Zenit intends to sign Dynamo defender Skopintsev

The St. Petersburg football club Zenit has begun work on the transfer of Dmitry Skopintsev from Dynamo Moscow. The blue-white-blues are ready to offer 5 million euros for the 26-year-old player, the Championship publication reports, citing a source.
Earlier it became known that the transfer of Lokomotiv defender Nair Tiknizyan to Zenit fell through due to discrepancies regarding the player’s salary. Tiknizyan requested a salary of 2 million euros.
According to the source, Skopintsev wants to receive 1.4 million euros per year as part of Zenit. The footballer himself was brought up at the Zenit academy. At the same time, Dynamo may consider Alexander Ektov from FC Krasnodar if Skopintsev leaves, the publication reports.
