A K-30 springboard was opened at the sports school of the Olympic reserve of winter sports in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region reported.
This is the second ski jump reconstructed this year — in June, after a major overhaul, the K-20 was opened.
“Ski jumping is one of the most spectacular and beautiful sports. I am proud that our fearless girls and boys choose this impressive sport for themselves and achieve excellent results. This is very inspiring! Now you have another springboard, where you can practice all year round. I am sure it will allow you to train even harder and achieve new heights in the future!” – said the Minister of Sports of the Sakhalin Region Artyom Podshivalov.
After the solemn cutting of the ribbon, competitions dedicated to the Day of the Athlete started at the Vysota springboard complex. The guys performed both on the freshly repaired springboard and on others – K-10, K-20 and K-72. Traditionally, flying skiers were expected to have one trial and two test jumps.
According to the results of the competition, Anastasia Astapova, Vasilisa Bakalova and Damir Akhmedov became the winners in their age groups on the K-10 springboard.
Filipp Smirnov and Sofia Bekhtereva won on the K-20 springboard.
Diana Ermolenko and Eldar Korzhan became the leaders on the K-30 springboard.
On the K-72 springboard, Nikita Belenok, Polina Pak and Nikita Loboda showed the best results.
