In 39 regions of the Russian Federation, spring floods and associated flooding are observed, said Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia.
“Roads, bridges and buildings are flooded in 39 regions of Russia,” he noted.
Previously, a meteorology specialist noted that the water level on small and medium-sized rivers in the central part of the European territory of the country reaches critical levels, and in some regions already exceeds them.
Vilfand also clarified that the forecast shows an improvement in flooding in the Moscow region from the middle of the week, since rain is no longer expected, and the snow is gradually melting, and the peak has already passed.
