The Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin told reporters that the industry is very worried about the condition of the hospitalized Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov. According to recent reports, his leg may be amputated due to gangrene.
“We are all worried, the entire sports family is worried about the health of our outstanding athlete, of course, we wish him a speedy recovery”– the TASS agency reported the words of the minister.
He noted that the health of the skater is monitored by competent doctors who are doing everything possible.
Recall that the 45-year-old athlete was hospitalized in January with pneumonia. However, the consequences of the disease were serious. At first, doctors talked about the amputation of toes, but now we are talking about the limb itself.
At the same time, Honored Coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova commented on the state of Kostomarov. “MK in St. Petersburg” published her comment.
