On the eve of the start of the Football Championship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a scandal erupted over the relationship between the sports management of the city of Bor and the Spartak youth football team. The sports management of the urban district of Bor, literally, forbids the Spartak team from playing in the Football Championship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The youth team of Spartak Borsk played in 2018 and 2021 in the First League, where they became bronze medalists. In the 2022 season, Spartak school took 8th place in the Premier League, won silver medals in the Winter Championship of Nizhny Novgorod, however, Bor’s sports management believes that the youth team is not coping with its duties, although more than 10 pupils of the double were preparing for the 2023 season in the main team .
The young Borsk football players were denied funding, but they found a sponsor with their own efforts, which would cover the team’s expenses for participation in the Championship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. After that, the management promised to deprive the school “Spartak” of the home stadium, but one way or another, already on April 29, young Bor players will play against the main team of the city, headed by Sergey Mukhotin, as part of the 1st round of the regional championship.
