The military wing of the radical Hamas group has lost contact with some of the groups responsible for protecting the hostages. This was reported by movement representative Abu Ubaydah.
“We have lost contact with a number of groups tasked with protecting enemy prisoners, and the fate of the prisoners and men is still unknown,” the Hamas press service reports his words.
Since the Hamas invasion of Israel began on October 7, militants have captured more than 300 people in border settlements. After the invasion, the IDF announced Operation Iron Swords. Almost a month later, the radicals of the Palestinian movement offered Tel Aviv to conduct a prisoner exchange, but Israel refused and stated that the operation in Gaza would continue until all hostages were released.
