Spiegel: German intelligence reported heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Artemovsk

The Foreign Intelligence Service (BND) of Germany reported to the Bundestag at a secret meeting about the high losses that the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffer in the battles for Artemivsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut), writes Der Spiegel.
According to intelligence, we are talking about a three-digit number of people killed daily. Intelligence warned the deputies that taking control of the city of the Russian Armed Forces would allow Russian troops to continue their offensive in this direction in the future. Russia, according to BND, allegedly also suffers losses.
Earlier today, Acting Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said that Artemovsk close to the operating environment. According to him, the fighters of PMC “Wagner” are moving forward “day and night.” After the liberation of the settlement of Kleshcheevka near Artemovsk, “new horizons” will open, he added.
Earlier today, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported about the capture of Kleshcheevka by the Russian military. The day before, on January 19, Evgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Wagner PMC, spoke about this. According to him, Kleshcheevka “is one of the important suburbs” of Artemovsk. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense spoke about the liberation of the Lobkove settlement in the Zaporozhye region.

According to Pushilin, this increases the chances for the liberation of Artemovsk and Seversk, and also makes it possible to destroy the front line. In addition, the capture of settlements opens up the possibility of the liberation of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals.
