“Spasskaya Tower”

Probably everyone knows that the Spasskaya Tower festival has begun on Red Square, which will last until September 4th. But how many people know that this year the festival events are also held at VDNKh? And this is so. Since August 19, the second festival site of the Spasskaya Tower has been operating at the main exhibition of the country. Here you can see not only the brightest concert numbers of the participants of the main festival site, but also the performances of the riders of the Kremlin Riding School, the Cavalry Honorary Escort of the Presidential Regiment of the SKMK FSO of Russia, the 1st Special Police Regiment of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the KSHVE Equestrian Theater and others. Every day, the youngest spectators are entertained by animators, master classes and pony rides are held. And on August 28, Children’s Day is generally planned. Younger guests, among other things, are waiting for sword fights, a pony relay race, an equestrian theater performance and many other entertainments.

“Movie Night”

On August 27, the Day of Russian Cinema, the traditional action “Cinema Night” will be held in Moscow. Open cinemas, concert halls, parks, museums and libraries will hold meetings with popular actors, lectures, excursions, master classes, concerts and screenings of famous films this evening for their guests. On August 27, the XI Festival of Slavic Art “Russian Field” will be held on the territory of the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve. This time it is dedicated to the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia, as well as to the 875th anniversary of Moscow. On this day, Musical Square and the Inn, Glade of Fairy Tales and Sytny Yard, Orthodox Compound and Musical Mound will appear in Kolomenskoye on this day.

At the site of the Molodetskaya squad, you can visit the prince’s feast, see demonstration fights “Warcraft”, competitions of buffoons, old dances.

A separate area will be devoted to folk attractions, animation and other entertainment for children.

“Colorful sky”

Fans of kites on the weekend, August 27 and 28, can become participants and spectators of the traditional festival “Motley Sky”, which will be held on the banks of the Lower Tsaritsynsky Pond in the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve.

You can come with your own kites, as well as make them or buy them on the spot.

Guests will also see a whole zoo of kites, including a 30-meter whale, see kite fights, and take part in master classes. And all this – to the music of popular DJs.

“Mosavtofest 2022”

Big and small racing fans are waiting on August 27 and 28 at the Moscow Technical Sports Center in Pechatniki, where the first Moscow festival Mosavtofest 2022 will be held. The program includes demonstration races of racing cars, pedal car racing for children, karting for children and adults, workshops on making and piloting radio-controlled models, master classes, exhibitions and much more.

Festival “Cup”

On August 27 and 28, the Cup festival of coffee, tea and chocolate will be held on the territory of the Museum of Moscow. On August 27, the pavilions of the Moscow Zoo will turn into educational centers. In the House of Birds pavilion, you can learn a lot of interesting things about parrots and take part in a master class on modeling a penguin aviary or creating a figurine of an Ara parrot, and in the Fauna of Indonesia pavilion, visitors will be told about butterflies and held a master class on creating an orange postcard with a butterfly.

Retroflash mob “The most massive dance twist”

But back to VDNKh. On August 27, within the framework of the 1st Moscow International Festival of Pensioners, the partner of which is the Moscow Longevity project, older citizens can take part in the dance retro-flash mob The Most Massive Twist Dance. In honor of the 7th anniversary of the City Farm, VDNKh will host the Big Watermelon festival on August 27 and 28. The program includes an immersive performance, a concert, many master classes and free quests. Each guest of the festival will receive a watermelon, and will also be able to treat themselves to a festive cake. And on the farm, you can try honey and different teas: Kuban, Siberian and Ussuri.

JetRush Extreme Fest

However, the “festival” the capital will begin on Friday. So, on August 26, the JetRush Extreme Fest sports and music festival will begin at Krasny Oktyabr, which will continue on Saturday.

Spectators will see spectacular performances on jet skis and flyboards, and the best athletes and members of the Olympic team will perform at the BMX freestyle championship, which will be held as part of the festival.

Hot Moscow Fest 2022

Also on Friday, August 26, the Hot Moscow Fest 2022 festival will begin at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium, which will continue throughout the weekend.

A whole city will grow next to the arena, divided into 11 thematic zones: sports, music, cinema, fashion, art, IT, barbecue, children’s and others. Each of them will host master classes, lectures and performances by eminent and titled participants, including Olympic champions, popular bloggers, artists, fashion designers, restaurateurs and chefs.

The musical part of the festival will be provided by popular Russian artists, and fans of auteur cinema will enjoy the world’s largest open-air viewing of short films.
