Spartakiad of pensioners starts in Izhevsk on March 26

On March 26, Izhevsk will host the VIII Winter Sports Contest of Udmurt pensioners. More than 450 elderly people from all over the country are going to participate in it.
The opening will take place at the Palace of Children’s (Youth) Creativity.
There will be 5 types of disciplines at the Games: checkers, darts, skiing, swimming and Nordic walking.
In addition, the program of events includes master classes, consultations of medical specialists, various activities for spectators, participants will also be introduced to the Udmurt longevity project.
The results of the competition will be summed up according to a flexible system. Participants will be divided into groups according to urban districts and rural areas, as well as by population.
