Spartak beat Dynamo with a score of 2:1

In the main match of the next round of the Russian championship, Spartak, suffering for half a half with Dynamo on the enemy field, losing to it in the score, at the end of the capital’s derby, after replacing its coach Guillermo Abascal, suddenly transformed and thanks to two mistakes by goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk and two goals Alexandra Sobolev was able to win his first spring victory – 2:1.
The match at the Dynamo stadium for Spartak began with the fact that those watching it could be interpreted in different ways. Some as a pure accident, others as a continuation of the spring trend. Enough troubles, including stupid ones, out of the blue, have already happened to the Spartak team to be considered another almost regularity.
The situation was harmless. Dynamo had a throw-in, the ball went into a penalty area crowded with players, and the recipient of the pass, Diego Laxalt, did not seem to have much hope of receiving it. He actually passed Laxalt. But after that the ball hit Nail Umyarov, who did not think that with the advent of VAR, any minor inaccuracy near his goal would result in a penalty. Referee Kirill Levnikov himself was probably a little surprised when, after watching the video replay, he was convinced: well, yes, formally Umyarov played with his hand, which means a penalty kick should be awarded. Luis Chavez converted it, and the play after the goal reinforced the idea of today’s Spartak as a problematic team.
If in football they gave any bonuses for activity and mileage, then he would definitely regain his balance quite quickly. But all this Spartacist movement still looked more like ordinary vanity, which lacked some kind of plan that glued it together. Such that Alexander Sobolev and Manfred Ugalde do not get lost on the front line, so that Anton Zinkovsky’s inclusions look more sophisticated.
Surprisingly, before the break, Spartak, splashing with passion in all directions, did not create a single worthwhile moment.
And Dynamo, quite happy with the fact that it gets to play on the counterattack, had them. Dmitry Skopintsev, who sent the ball ricocheting off Roman Zobnin’s foot and into the crossbar. Luis Chavez shot like crazy from the penalty line. Konstantin Tyukavin, who, after a cool feint by Nicholas Marichal, missed a roundhouse kick.
And the rest did not have any effect on Spartak. The same endless running, the same endless losses. And the Dynamo chances that arise from them. Sometimes they are chic. Like Marichal, who hit the upright with his head after a corner kick. Like Tyukavin, who saw that goalkeeper Alexander Maksimenko, also apparently seething with emotions, was far out of the gate, and sent an amazing “parachute” into them. Maksimenko, already falling onto his back, still managed to get out. Like the same Tyukavin, who a little later went one-on-one with the Spartak goalkeeper, but did not beat him.
Shortly before the Dynamo forward’s breakthrough, Spartak coach Guillermo Abascal decided on a radical move. A triple substitution is not that uncommon.
But replacing four players at the same time is an extraordinary phenomenon.
And it was, of course, a recognition that did not require explanatory words: everything is bad with us, but we need to somehow shake up the team, which has fallen into a deep rut, rushing into the abyss.
To say that Abaskal reminded himself of himself with this replacement would, of course, be stupid. Who, in principle, could forget about him, about a man whose imminent resignation after a series of spring failures was not predicted by anyone? And Sunday’s game certainly didn’t push her further.
But Guillermo Abascal’s move worked. It was Mikhail Ignatov, one of the four “jokers”, who delivered that weak shot, which for some unknown reason Dynamo goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk parried right in front of him, onto Alexander Sobolev, who was flying to finish and celebrated this simple goal as if it had brought them triumph for Spartak Champions League. But the context justified everything. In the end, in the three previous meetings after the resumption of the Russian championship, Spartak had no goals at all.
And “Spartak” suddenly went ahead. It so happened that after some time the three players were removed by Dynamo coach Marcel Licka, who sensed something was wrong.
And football blossomed with bright colors. Spartak made a lot of mistakes, but attacked a lot and sharply. Everything in this match hung by a thin thread. And it broke when Leshchuk again somehow terribly badly handled, strictly speaking, Ignatov’s missed shot, and Sobolev was again in time for the rebound, bringing “Spartak” its first spring victory, after which he came closer to the bottom three “Dynamo” at a distance of three points
The Moscow derby closed the day’s program with three more matches involving the championship giants. The central figure of the meeting, in which Zenit regained the lead in the tournament, again beating Krasnodar by a point, which had defeated Paris Nizhny Novgorod the day before, turned out to be the same Brazilian youngster who a few days ago played a key role in its cup win against ” Spartacus.” 18-year-old Pedro, who scored twice against Spartak, at the end of the first half, having closed a cross, turned out to be the author of the only St. Petersburg goal against the desperately resisting favorite Baltika.
Lokomotiv and CSKA, who are next in the standings, in tandem and now breathing down the backs of Dynamo, dealt with their rivals more confidently. The railway workers, who after the winter break had not yet won a victory in the championship and were eliminated from the National Cup, defeated Akhmat on the road – 2:0. The Grozny team, playing under the leadership of new head coach Magomed Adiev, were let down primarily by Darko Todorovic’s handball in the penalty area in the middle of the first half. “Akhmat” missed a penalty, and also remained in the minority. There was much less drama in the match between the Arameans and Torch. CSKA defeated the Voronezh club at home – 4:1.
