The Spanish national football team was left without a head coach. As reported in the football federation of this country, Luis Enrique left his post.
“RFEF sincerely wishes Enrique and his team the best of luck in their future careers. The coach has earned love and admiration from the staff of the national team and the entire federation, which will always be his home,” the federation’s website says.
The fact that Enrique will leave the post of head coach of the Red Fury became known the day before. The resignation was expected, because the Spaniards could not overcome the stage of 1/8 finals of the World Cup in Qatar. In the penalty shootout, they sensationally lost to the Moroccan national team.
Luis Enrique has been in charge of the Spanish national team since 2018.
According to the authoritative Spanish newspaper Marca, the new head of the “Red Fury” may be the head coach of the youth national team of Spain, Luis de la Fuente.
