SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 launch vehicle to the ISS with a Crew Dragon spacecraft carrying four people. The company conducted a live broadcast of the launch, recording the broadcast available on YouTube.

The launch of the Falcon 9 with Crew Dragon on board is part of the Ax-2 mission of private company Axiom Space. On board were former NASA astronaut and spaceflight veteran Peggy Whitson, entrepreneur John Schoffner, and Saudi Arabian astronauts Ali al-Karni and Ryan Barnawi.

“The first Saudis in nearly 40 years have gone into space since the kingdom sent the first Arab astronaut, Prince Sultan bin Salman, into orbit in 1985,” the Saudi Arabian Space Agency said.

The docking of Crew Dragon with the ISS is scheduled to take place at 9:24 a.m. ET (4:24 p.m. Moscow time). Space tourists will spend about two weeks on the ISS and will participate in the work of the ISS.

Falcon 9 is a reusable stage. This time, the launch vehicle returned to Earth, and not to a platform in a pond.
