The American company SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket with 23 Starlink satellites and successfully placed them into orbit. This is stated in the company’s message on the social network X.
The launch took place on Sunday morning.
“The launch of 23 Starlink satellites into orbit has been confirmed,” the statement said.
Starlink is a global satellite system deployed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Starlink is also used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for communication between units and weapon guidance. From Musk’s biography, written by Walter Isaacson, it previously became known that the billionaire did not allow the system to be used to assist in an attack on ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
It was previously reported that SpaceX lost 212 satellites between July 18 and September 18. The reason for the loss of such a large number is not stated.
