The company did not specify in connection with which such a decision was made. The launch video host reported that the mission was canceled five seconds before liftoff.
SpaceX said it plans to repeat the July 19 launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This will be the 10th flight for the first stage launch vehicle.
On July 16, a Falcon 9 launch vehicle launched a batch of 54 mini-satellites into orbit. They will replenish the orbital constellation of the global network of Internet coverage of the Starlink system. The launch was performed from the 40th launch complex at the US Space Forces base at Cape Canaveral in Florida at 06:50 Moscow time. At the same time, on July 14, the launch of a rocket with 54 Starlink satellites was canceled 40 seconds before launch. The reason for the transfer was not reported.
In total, SpaceX plans to launch about 42,000 satellites. Last fall, more than 3,000 active Starlink satellites were already in orbit. They must ensure the operation of high-speed broadband Internet in those regions of the planet where it is unreliable, expensive or unavailable. The amount of investment in the project is estimated at $ 10 billion. In September, Musk said that Starlink is available on all continents of the Earth.
