South Ural racers will go to the start of the international rally “Silk Way”

The crew consisting of Yury Naiman, Dmitry Vikhrenko and Alexey Popov will fight for the victory in the category “Trucks”. This is reported by the organizing committee of the rally.
In total, 98 teams will go to conquer the Silk Road route in all categories (SUVs, ATVs and trucks). Among them are the most experienced titled athletes. For example, in the T1 SUV category, the crew of the multiple winner of international and Russian competitions, Vladimir Vasiliev, starts. Last year’s winner Merdan Toylyev from Turkmenistan will compete in the T2 off-road category.
In the “all-terrain vehicles” you can see Dmitry Mordkovich, who leads the overall standings of the Russian Championship. In addition, Sergei Karyakin, brothers Alexei and Dmitry Cherkesov, Anastasia Nifontova and endurance racer Roman Rusinov will conquer the track.
In the category “Trucks” the most attention will be focused on the performance of the current winner of the “Silk Way” rally, Dmitry Sotnikov. In addition, Andrey Karginov, Eduard Nikolaev, Sergey Kupriyanov are considered one of the strongest participants. The Russian-Chinese crew will also take the distance – pilot Hou Hongnin, navigator Shen Xin and flight engineer Sergey Krenev. They will compete with the crew of Yuri Naiman from the Chelyabinsk region.
This year, the Silk Road will bring together representatives of 23 countries, including France, Serbia, Cyprus, the Syrian Arab Republic, Albania, China and others. International competitions will start on July 5 in Kazan and end on July 15 on Red Square in Moscow. Recall that part of the route runs through the Chelyabinsk region: on the eighth and ninth of July, a stage will be held in Magnitogorsk.
